Design is fine. History is mine.

Imagine a time with no computer

Mies van der Rohe, Haus Lange/Haus Esters, Krefeld, Germany, 1927- 30. Built for Hermann Lange and Josef Esters, directors of the Union of silk weaving.

Nowadays the houses are owned by the city and partly used for exhibitions. It feels very comfortable inside, even cozy. Timeless modern, I would love to live there. We saw the exhibition of Andreas Gursky, unfortunately the space did not fit to the size of his xxl prints. But the houses itself are worth a visit if you want to feel the Bauhaus vibes.
