Edward and Margrit Fischer studied at the Bauhaus. Margrit was a sculptor and Edward a graphic designer. They asked Gropius and Breuer to design their house in New Hope. after visiting the Hagerty House. The design for a two-story wood-frame house with vertical wooden cladding painted white was largely Breuer’s.
