Imagine a time with no computer

What was known as the “ship building” with suspended rooms would theoretically at least have been a more cost-effective solution than a conventional building. Frei Otto, whose roof for the Olympic Stadium in Munich wrote architectural history, investigated lightweight construction in great detail, always using models.
