Francisca Reichardt studied textile design at the Hochschule für bildende Künste Hamburg in Germany, under the renowned German print designer, Margaret Hildebrand. In 1971, Reichardt’s textile “Omahar” was produced by Knoll Textiles and printed by Pausa AG, Germany. It was a technical tour-de-force, requiring 14 screens to print its 30 ½-inch repeat.
