Alvin Lustig, upholstered chair for Paramount Furniture, Los Angeles, 1949.

Alvin Lustig came into our shop on Melrose {in the forties} with his chair design made of toothpicks and paper.  We developed it with him and we sold hundreds of chairs and shipped them all over the U.S.  Our business name was Paramount Furniture Mfd. Co.  We made the highest quality upholstered furniture and we were well known during that time.  Ben Morrison, comment AIGA
