“In 1936 Marshall Field III generously presented his residence at 1905 Prairie Avenue to the Association of Arts and Industries for the purpose of housing a practical training school of design. The house has been thoroughly remodelled and the school will open October the eighteenth, 1937. Dr. Walter Gropius … will act as adviser in all school matters. … L.
