Design is fine. History is mine.

Our game, our party, our work.

Eberhard Schrammen, “Little Man” 1924, 37 cm tall. Almost all of the components of the mascot are mobile.

According to his son, Klaus Schrammen, the ‘little man’ stood in Schrammen’s wood-turning and wood art workshop in Gildenhall as an advertising figure to show off his skills as a wood-turning artist to potential customers. The mascot encapsulates the Weimar Bauhaus’s claim that art is equally ‘our game, our party, our work’ (Johannes Itten).
