Josef Albers, Color Study for Homage to Square. 1976. Part of the exhibition “Josef Albers in America. Painting on paper”. It shows ca. 80 studies for larger paintings. Those studies are part of the life-time investigation into color. He said: “Juxtaposing two colors puts me in a state of intense excitement.”
