mtmodern: After 75 years Knoll hasn’t gone to the dogs. ”don’t tell Cartree!”
There’s a lot you can say about Knoll … They brought the International Style to the American marketplace. They successfully integrated a furniture company with interior design. They promoted and developed the careers of some of the world’s best known designers of furniture and textiles. I think they were also the first company to include the family dog (Cartree) in their catalog from 1950. Maybe not a groundbreaking moment in design history but you have to love it. Happy 75th birthday Knoll!
