Above is a Dandelion sculpture, made from stainless steel and brass with a slate base. Knoll featured these dandelion sculptures (there were many) in a furniture ad, and seven of them were displayed at the 1964 New York World’s Fair.

You can see the dandelion sculpture on the photo of the Miami appartement of Florence Knoll, 2002. She must have loved it very much, that she kept it so long and so near.
