She’s got an amazing story, being originally a figurative painter, and when she saw the 1923 exhibition of the Bauhaus students she burnt everything she painted for the last 12 years and joined up, being one of the few women allowed into the metalworking workshop and later ran it. Sadly later she was bullied out by one of her students, who claimed she should not have her teaching position because all she made were useless prototypes and was also a woman. She bowed to the pressure and retreated to her parents’ house for the rest of her life U^U
